this really interesting and technically brilliant, just one question wat colours did u mix for the shadow on the cloth on the face? .....grey, with a hint of blue and yellow mayb??

yellow ochre, raw umber, Cerulean blue, titanium white.
the raw umber, Cerulean blue and yellow ochre will make a greenish grey.
these paintings in 2005 were done with acrylic under-paintings and thinner layers of oil glazed on top.

thanks for the advice....was finding it difficult to make shadows on white without using black which is crap sum times. great work as usual!! i think i'll try dat acrylics wit oil on top thing

no prob.
keep your acrylics thin, but not too thin.
oil can go over acrylic, but acrylic cannot go over oil.
